An Ephiphany of Sound
An Ephiphany of Sound (the radio show on 90.1FM hosted by J.C.) will be bringing you someone who likes his tracks a lot like J.C. does; with a good acid line. That someone is Lick The DJ.
Lick The DJ has been hanging with the likes of FnF, so you know he knows his acid lines. He's also part of Lost Tribe (the Sweet parties) and he's part of Lick The Micron (a tagteam duo with Micron.) Peep him at www.lickthedj.com to find out more.
The main thing is that you tune in to the show this Thur. You can expect to hear things in the tech-house, house and techno realms, mainly with that good acid line!! We're at 90.1 FM and online at kzsulive.stanford.edu

Most of us have dealt with the nightmare of going to a "holiday event" that was far from the celebratory experience we were hoping for or needing. We are hoping that this will be the occasion to remedy years of forced holiday cheer by helping us create the ultimate "holiday party from hell".
Lecherous bosses, office sluts, fallen angels, demented elves, all the bah-humbug types or anything else you feel needs to be properly skewered - will be welcome.

Aranji is proud to present a free Independence Day Beach Bash!!
You can find the party where Judah meets Ocean Beach this SUNDAY, JULY 4th from 12:00 NOON 'till we stop partying (hopefully 10 or 11pm)
Bring the whole family, blankets, beach toys, your little BBQ's, some grillers, firewood for the bonfire, warm clothes for when it gets chilly, drums and musical instruments, and anything else you deem useful and necessary for a day at the beach!

Seven years ago, on the 4th Saturday evening of January, an experimental band of visionaries gathered together for an evening entitled, simply, Sweet!. For the one hundred and thirty or so souls who came together at Cell that evening it was the beginning of a singular recurring event in the variegated climes of San Francisco. An event that has never been publicly advertised, has never had a glossy flyer, and has always required its attendees to arrive by a pre-specified time - or else!
That initial evening also inspired our friends Jondi and Spesh to enter the recording studio the very next day and record the international dance classic "We Are Connected".
Many have chosen to "initiate" their friends at Sweet! - many have fallen in love (several times ; ) - many have used the energy to redefine their relationships. We have been visited by newborns and octogenarians. We have always tried to make everyone feel welcome and accepted -from leather bears to lipstick lesbians, from the classically withdrawn to the perpetually flamboyant. All we have asked is that each attendee give as much respect as they required. And everyone has done an awesome job creating the vibe we hoped for - one in which creativity and openness are nurtured.
As always, Sweet! will be the"lovechild" creation of the people who choose to attend - your enthusiasm, energy, and all-around good vibes have been what has helped keep Sweet! fresh and very special all these years. We are super looking forward to creating magic with each and every one of you again!

Beach Renegade
Outdoor party at Ocean Beach
This was a fun outdoor party that Micron organized on one of the warmest nights at a San Francisco beach that any of us have experienced, and in late October no less.
DJs for the night were: Ki, Micron, J:Miah and Lick the DJ.
It was a good turn out too especially considering it wasn't planned until the day of and wasn't advertised until 6:30pm.
